Hello, I'm Annie. I live in the Netherlands and I am married to Sjaak. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Because Sjaak and I are retired, we have plenty of time to look after our grandchildren and for our hobbies. The biggest hobby is making cards. I started doing that in 2003. In the years that followed I learned all kinds of new techniques. In mid-October 2021 I started mixed media, I really like this. I have another hobby; that's diamond painting. I've been doing this since 2017. Still, I don't sit in a chair all day. Every day Sjaak and I try to walk about 8 km. We also both play table tennis and participate in the Gelderse competition.

My name is Henriët. I live in the Netherlands and am 55 years old. Married and mother of 2 adult

sons. In addition to Mixed Media, I have other hobbies: I like to crochet, read a lot of books, take

photographs and play in a concert band. I also work at a primary school.

Sari/Granne

I'm a Finnish mother of 2 teenage girls. I've been stamping since 2011. I got started when my neighbour introduced me to the world of stamping and paper crafting in real life and in blog land; that's how my blog also got it's name: Granne (=neighbour in Swedish).

Usually I make cards, but do love making ATCs, Art Journals, altered items, and, and, and ... what ever seems to be fun and inspires me. Sometimes things work out nicely, sometimes not, but I have fun creating.

Our talented Guest Designer for December is ....

Annie

I have been crafting and sewing for as long as I can remember. My Grandmother was a seamstress and taught me so much as I was growing up. My mother also sewed but she was a very creative crafter too. These women have been my inspiration for these art forms. My interest in paper crafting came when I discovered rubber stamping and scrapbooking. I was creating mixed media pieces before I even knew mixed media was a thing. I just thought it was considered crafting. With the daily introduction to new supplies, WOW, the possibilities for crafting and art are endlessly inspirational. My biggest and most precious joy these days is that I’m retired now and can spend all day playing. With endless online inspiration, I’ll never be bored.

It’s December! I love listening to Christmas music while I make. It makes me feel so joyful and hopeful. Anywhere I go, every expression of holiday spirit makes me smile and feel good inside. I wish the world a very Merry Christmas!
