Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge Blog

Founder and former owner– Rhonda Alman

Hello Everyone I am Rhonda, I am married to Rob, the most amazing man I have every meet, with 2 adult children, a Daughter Rochelle 27 and son Brendan 24, and we also have a Chihuahua Bugga that thinks he is my husbands personal body guard, and a cat Claire that rides around all the time on the back of my wheelchair.
I have been a crafter of some type most of my life, but became passionate about paper crafting since 1998 and started making cards, then scrapbooking, OTP, Altered Art and then Mixed media.
I still make all of what I have just mentioned. I love learning new techniques all the time and love sharing what I create, everything I create are original pieces.
You can always find my work on

I hope you enjoy following our journey with us...
& look forward to exciting you with what our DT has to offer by way of inspiration.

Rhonda has now taken a back seat due to ill health.

Owner – Andree

Hi, I'm Andrée Crowe. I'm a freelance card designer, papercrafter, mixed media tutor and demonstrator. I'm a married mother to three grown up daughters and Nana to three grandchildren, one of whom we are now raising as her guardians. I've been crafting since I moved to Pembroke in South West Wales, UK, eleven years ago with my husband and youngest daughter. We have spent the last seven years renovating an old neglected house and I finally have a craft room - known as the dungeon - where I like to play with paper, card, inks, paints, dies, stencils etc and get thoroughly messy.

DT Member and Coordinator

Hi, my name is Judy McKay and I live in beautiful Vernon, British Columbia Canada with my husband . We have 3 sons and 4 beautiful grandsons. I retired from the Provincial Government as a manger about 6 years ago .  I spent most of my working career working in the legal profession and managing a large group of employees.  I made cards off and on during the last few years before retirement but never had time to pursue my interest in different forms of arts and crafts.
Retirement has allowed me to have time to search for my creative side.  I love mixed media, home decor, assemblages,  altering projects , all types of paper crafts  and encaustic wax.  I love to try new things.

DT Member - Ina

My name is Ina and I live in Queensland Australia.

I have been married for going on 50 years and lucky my hubby supports my hobby as I do his - Guitars. I have been crafting for several years now, starting off Scrapbooking and then got hooked on card making. I have a variety of styles depending on the occasion and who they are for. Being retired gives me plenty of time to indulge in my craft. I love inking up my stamps, embossing and using my dies. I'm now hooked on mixed media, inky fingers and all.
I enjoy the friendships you develop with fellow Designers and learn so much from their styles and likes. Looking forward to New Adventures creating with The Talented Ladies at Creative Artiste Mixed Media.

  DT Member - Jo

My name is Jo and I blog at Let’s Art Journal. I live by the sea in the North West of England with my hubby. I started Art Journaling in 2015 as a way of expressing my life through words and pictures and it has now become a passion of mine which I like to share with others. I’m captivated by the variety of techniques and materials that can be used to create so many different styles of art and love everything Mixed Media. I love nothing better than to experiment with different techniques and products, get creative, put my ideas into practice and have lots of fun doing so!
I am often inspired by things I see and do, so my art journal page today is inspired by the quote “never lose your sense of wonder”.

DT Member - Lynne

Hi there! I'm Lynne from southwestern Ontario, Canada, and am married with two grown kids, six cats (yes, I'm that crazy cat lady!) and two dogs.
I've always enjoyed crafting of some sort, but began seriously papercrafting about ten years ago. My first love is layouts, but cards, home decor, art journaling, Bible journaling, assemblage, mini albums and altered items of all kinds have become part of my creative world, and I love to experiment and play with all the different supplies in my beloved craft room, combining the mediums just to see what happens! I have a pretty eclectic style, but especially enjoy working with soft, vintage colours and lots of texture.
I've been on a few design teams and I so enjoy the chance to get to know the other team members as well as the viewers and participants, and I hope you enjoy my contributions here.

DT Member - Lys

Bonjour! My name is Lys and I live in a village in south west of France. Only the youngest of my three children is still at home now so I can spare more time to create, from the scrapbooking I met 10 years ago, to mixed media I discovered since my arrival in blogland. I don’t know if I have a special style, but I love vintage, shabby and every new path worth to experiment. I love recycling every bit of thing in my creations, as long as it tells me a story…
I’m very happy to join the talented Creative Artiste Team and share creative fun with them!

DT Member - Suzanne

Hi I'm Suzanne I've been married to my best friend and the father of my two children (Natalii 23 and Jack 16) for 26 years. I've been scrapbooking for the last 14 years
I was introduced to a party plan scrapbooking company,  once I realised there was more out there I couldn't be stopped. I love everything about the scrapbooking industry - the products, the new ideas that can be learned, the crafters and their inspiration they share
I enjoy working with different mediums and love getting messy. I’m so excited  to join the talented Creative Artiste Team and can't wait to share and learn a few things from the awesome team we have.

DT Member - Suzette

Hi, my name is Suzette and I live in Kingston, Jamaica with my husband, 3 teenagers and too many pets! I  haven't always been an artist, art was never encouraged when I was in school. However, when I had my own children I wanted them to be creative thinkers so I bought many books on arts and crafts, a bunch of  supplies and had just as much fun as them making different things.
Over the years I have done scrapbooking, card making, paper mache sculptures, air dry clay sculptures, plaster sculptures, printmaking, art journaling and mixed media! I have certainly had a lot of fun. I go back and forth between each medium and more often than not, mix quite a few mediums together.
