Our first fabulous Guest Designer for April is ....
Hi everyone! I'm Elle, AKA Empire of the Cat, currently living in the Scottish countryside. There has always been paint and paper in my life for as long as I can remember, and I have been drawing since I was a kid. These days I do most of my art in journals and junk journals, with a few tags and ATCs etc thrown in the mix. I love mixed media and recycling as there are so many options available - maybe too many! LOL I also like crochet especially in the winter and I'm working on two blankets at the moment. I also like cats (I have three), being in nature, gardening, baking, and books, and I am usually listening to audio books in my studio. I have been blogging since 2005 and you can find me at Empire of the Cat, where I share my arty adventures.
Something about me: I have been a crafter all my life, started with needlepoint, knitting, crochet and more, I went on with making photos and making photobooks before I even knew that the way I did that was called scrapbooking. I bought a few stencils and text-stamps and that was it; I was hooked on stamping!
From that moment on I haven't looked back and tried as many techniques as I could and always have fun making projects with stamps, stencils, ink, pigments, powders and pastes and so much more...
